FireTV client audio track off by one when direct playing

I stream mp4s from my Synology NAS without problem to my ios devices, PCs, PS4, etc. But when I stream to my Fire Stick 4k or Cube, the device tries to play the audio track with an index one higher than it should. That means the wrong track, no sound if there is only one track, and inability to select the actual audiotrack when it is the first among many.

The only workaround is defeating direct play by forcing an unnecessary conversion to a different video format.

Running latest public server/client.

Any advice?

To add a few more details:

Playing the correct soundtrack is perfectly possible, unless it is the first one in the file by selecting another track manually which is then (mis-)played as the track you wanted,

In the same circumstances, the subtitle VOBSUB tracks also are off by one.

The server is a Synology DS1019+.

Again, it plays fine on everything except the FireTV Plex client.
