Situation:
- I have two user accounts setup on Plex - one for me and my wife, and one for the kids
- The kids account only has movies PG and under or that they can watch unattended and has no PIN
- The adult account has movies that the kids can’t watch unattended or at all and is locked with a PIN
Problem:
- to open the adult account the PIN entry screen shows a visible numeric keyboard on the TV, so anybody in the room can see the PIN including the kids. If they are there I have to ask them to look away…
- not a good security solution as there’s no point having a PIN for ‘security’ if entry is visible
Solution:
- adopt a similar PIN entry method to what the Amazon Fire does for pin entry where the PIN is hidden through the use of the cursors to enter - see below
