Firewall Settings

I’m new to this ESET Security software and was wondering if I should unblock these Plex entries or are they just port scans on my system?

If you’re using port 32400 for remote access, this is probably some client trying to connect to your server.
If you don’t share any media with their Plex accounts, all they’ll get to see is the bundled web app but none of your media or other information.

The access by myplex... is a connectivity check by plex.tv. These are done regularly to ensure that clients get a status display of your server.
The remote access status display under Settings - Server - Remote is also powered by this.

This is yet again an example how 3rd-party firewall vendors are only feeding paranoia in their customers, just to convince them how well protected they are by their software. When in reality, all they do is to bring stuff to the foreground that is perfectly regular, thus stealing their customer’s time and attention.

I agree, thanks guys!!
