Guys how about a quick couple of lines on how to update to 7.1 without having to reinstall certs? I personally haven't done this in so long that I don't remember the steps.
Figured I'm way behind and should get things current.
They should just carry over typically on a upgrade. If not, uploading certs is extremely easy just using yourip/trailers.cer for example when I upload mine I just use this without a http prefix:
192.168.1.101/trailers.cer
Hey Guys, hope this wasn’t asked recently…can Apple disable at will (if they choose to) Plex Connect through their connection to the ATV or does it have to be baked into a new firmware update?
i.e., are we safe as long as we stay with a working firmware? or not?

my guess is they can disable it whenever they choose to.. they implemented the need for certs without a firmware update so i don't think it would be any problem to cause problems if they wished.. :ph34r:

PlexConnect doesn't even hacks into TV like a jailbreak for the other iDevices .. So if Apple chose not to prevent it working for more then a year it probably won't change it mind any time soon. I don't think that Apple can stop PlexConnect from working without a software update, but with a software update it can .. I wouldn't worry, over 20 software updates was released since PlexConnect released ..
