Couldn't find the answer. Is it safe to update ATV to latest iOS version, whatever that is? I'd like iTunes Radio, but my atv hasn't updated in ages because i'm a long time Plexconnect User and didn't care about other apps on the atv, until now.

If you are already using a version of Plexconnect that uses cert files, yes you can safely update to the new ATV firmware.
Just to make sure I don't mess this up by trying to update my ATV3 with ver 5.3 with certs installed, would the correct steps be:
1. shut down plexconnect via ctrl-c
2. go to ATV >Settings>General>update software
3. when complete, turn on plexconnect
Anything else or in a different sequence?
Change your DNS back to auto for the update sequence.
Or alternatively continue to run PlexConnect but go into settings and turn off block auto update.
