I’m getting a weird issue with collections where the same one is showing twice. One has zero items and the other has x number.

Any idea how to fix this? I’ve tried refresh, analyze, etc

One might be created manually by you, while the other has been created by the new Plex Movie agent.
I’d say remove the older one by hand.
Nope. I’ve never manually created any.
I can remove by hand but if it created them once, it is feasible it would be created again.
I’m interested in either a easy way to clean up or root cause analysis as to why they were created in such a manner.
The first copy may have been created by the old Plex Movie agent, while the second copy may have been created by the new agent.

The first copy may have been created by embedded meta tags in your movie files (only from mp4/m4v files. It is the ‘Album’ meta tag), while the second copy may have been created by the new Plex Movie agent.
The behaviour of the new Plex Movie agent can be configured by editing your movie library. Go to the ‘Advanced’ tab and set the “Minimum automatic collection size” to “Disabled” if you want to have no collections created automatically.
Then go to the ‘Collections’ view mode of your movie library. You can select several collections at once by clicking on the small circle in the upper-left corner of the poster.
Delete the selected collections with the ‘Delete’ menu item under the ellipsis …

This is a new library (a few days old).
I’m guessing this function doesn’t work as intended…
“Changing this value will have no affect on any existing collections.”
Understood. That is why I mentioned it was a new library. Those settings were set before media was added.
Are you sure this is a new library and not a re-used one, where only the media locations have been changed?
Have you checked for embedded meta tags?
