Fix Match Request!

When plex fails to acquire the correct metadata I often use Fix Match and that solves the problem for that week, when the next episode is added I have to Fix match again.

I know their is a solution which is setup a folder with the correct name and problem solved but this is a ongoing issue with a lot of series and its a huge waste of my time having to setup special rss feeds for every single series i watch.

I’m requesting a new feature in Plex that will have the file I already match fixed automatically include the following episodes into the first match fix, usually the filenames are identical with just the episode numbers being off 01,02 and so on, why can’t match fix pick up the same file names excluding the numbers and include those files into the first match fix?

Your naming and structuring must really suck.
I Fix Match once - and it stays fixed.

My first suggestion is to name and structure properly.
If you refuse - good luck, but you can try this:

Plex generally doesn’t care if your torrent file name is causing an issue.
… and neither do I - but if Demoting LMA helps - super - if it doesn’t - super.

I used to use filebot was good at the time.

I’m also using absolute series scanner + hamatv

entirely new season of anime shows coming out so yeah its hit or miss some shows get zero meta data some are fine it depends on how good of a match their is with anidb which isn’t very good.

How’s that working out for ya?

Filebot follows these instructions meticulously - and I enjoy almost 100% accuracy - with only the rare Fix Match. <—but when I do - I do it once.

You may want to keep an eye on this thread:

It may - eventually - be just what you need. Or not.

Try doing the “fix Match” on the Season, NOT the individual episodes.
