I have a library for TV Shows set to French to match shows in my language. It uses the Plex TV Series scanner and the Plex Series Agent.
When I match this series , search results are displayed correctly (including summary), and I select the series to be matched.
However, when the metadata gets updated in Plex, the summary is not populated for the series ? Why is it ? My other series in this library are populated correctly:
This series is pretty new, has it something to do with that ? Is something missing on TVDB to get it populated correctly ?
Very likely. Wait a few days, then Refresh Metadata on the series’ top level.
One week later, and still not working… Why is the summary showing in search results, but does not get filled in the series once selected ?
Plex uses primarily TheMovieDB.org as its metadata source (even if you set the episode ordering to TheTVDB.com )Démasqués: Season 1 (2023) — The Movie Database (TMDB)
Well, that’s strange because the summary/description is also there in french on TMDB.

Try renaming the show directory to “Démasqués (2023) (tvdb-438759)”. I had to do that with I Am Groot since The TMDB metadata was screwed up.
It wasn’t when looked it up. If someone added it since then, it won’t be available in Plex immediately. It takes up to 3 days.
