FIXED - Stuck on Upgrade Metadata Splash Screen

After another reboot and walking away for about an hour, it finally logged all the way in. I think I’m good now. Thanks all.

Server Version#:1.28.2.6151-7000
Player Version#:
Just upgraded Plex after not using it for a couple years. When I open if from the server or several browsers, I log in and then get stuck on the “Turbocharge Your Metadata” splash screen. I have the option to Refresh All, Not Now, or Upgrade Libraries but none of them do anything and I can’t “X” out of it either. Just stuck there.

It’s a known regression .

Which version did you upgrade from?
Do you have the previous SPK file you installed or maybe I can find something newer for you in the archive ?

Thanks. I was just getting ready to check back in. After about another reboot and about an hour, it started working. I have no idea, but I’m running now. Thanks.

Its not working for us, still stuck on the Turbo charge your metadata screen with none of the buttons working, tried everything, different browsers but cant get into my library. Been ongoing now for 3 weeks. Just asked Plex for a refund on my lifetime subscription. Plex is not fit for purpose

Engineering asked me , earlier this week, for both the server and player log files.

Might you be able to provide them or are you no longer interested?

Can you , OR ANYONE, grab the Plex/WEB player logs when it gets stuck?

We think this is a Plex/web problem but need the logs to confirm it.
