Upgrade your movie and tv libraries to the new improved metadata splash screen won't go away

running on Synology 920+.

I updated Plex and got the “upgrade your movie and tv libraries to the new improved metadata” a week ago, when I go to log in the splash screen is still there but doesn’t accept input. The Network resource appears to be maxed out, is it still updating? does it stop and restart? Is there a way to stop the update, I can’t access the server with the splash screen doa. Tried rebooting.
