Flac audio is also transcoding to aac when video is transcoding

When a video is transcoding, for example I put .ass subtitles on, it also transcodes FLAC audio to AAC. We don’t want that. We want to keep direct play on audio just like how Roku keeps FLAC audio when the video is trancoding (2.0ch only but at least better). Also the fact that android player is transcoding when we put .ass subtitles on is let’s say… disapointing. If I was a dev, I would just add libass to the player and avoid tons of unwanted side effects like this one. I can provide logs if needed. Thank you for your time.

If it was only that easy.

I would need the logs to see why it’s doing this. Keep in mind that not all Android TV’s may support FLAC as part of a video file. FLAC support with video is not the same as FLAC support for music.

Just to be clear. When the video is not transcoding the audio is not transcoding (stays FLAC).
Here’s what I found in server logs
