It starts to play and then stops instantly. Sometimes it says there is a transcoding error. I thought both plex and plexamp could now play flac files without transcoding. The files are coming from a NAS on my network.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling both the server and the player.
have you checked the music quality settings in app are higher quality bitrate than the tracks?
I just tried “automatically adjust quality” as well as turning off “use low quality on cellular”. Neither helps. I converted a few of my flac files to m4a files and they play fine that way. I just don’t want to convert all my music to a second format so I can play them via my phone.
probably need to see iOS logs to see what the problem is. It should play flac back fine afaik

Here is the ios log. I tried playing a flac file while the itools process was looking at the log and I pressed save. Hopefully the info you need is in there somewhere.

thanks for logs. It looks like connection errors but that seems odd to be the cause if other file types play fine. I’m asking some other folks about it.
You can close this one off. I deleted my library and re-added it and everything works fine now.
