After updating my server to the latest server version, transcoded music playback (FLAC) on all clients started to stutter and buffer left and right. On the client side you could easily mistake it for a bandwidth issue but it is not. It seems like after the update somehow the transcoding process became significantly slower and can barely keep up with the music playing, resulting in buffering. After ~10-20 seconds the transcoder manages to build up a tiny lead so after that the playback is smooth, but you can pretty much forget about pre-caching because it takes ages.
I randomly tried downgrading the server to 1.32.0.6973-a787c5a8e (newest previous minor version) and that solves the problem. Upgrading again, and the stutter is back. Somewhere in between there is a regression.
