Skipping forward when transcoding via remote access

Installed the update to media server (now on Version 1.18.0.1846) went to the in-laws today, and nothing(!) plays without constant skipping forwards missing most of the show. One of the GOT shows skipped to by 3 mins, then to 8.30mins within 45 seconds.

I have the server set to transcode down to 720p 3mbps.

Issue on amazon fire stick - No issue locally, No issue until the update.

I’ve searched the forums but couldn’t find another post relating to this? last issue of this kind was on Samsung TV’s back in august.

Anyone else seeing this issue? pretty annoying.

Just rolled back to previous version and all working OK :call_me_hand:

PLEX is becoming so buggy lately with each release there seems to be an issue which upsets something.

Same issue here, but I upgraded my music library, can I still roll back?

Looks like the latest update fixed this issue

Guess I spoke too soon. Issue appears to have returned in the latest version

I tried the latest update as well but rolled it back again. Seems that Version 1.17.0.1841 is the most stable at the moment.

What is odd is that the films play fine, but the TV series don’t.

Hi Ed, I rolled back the entire system to resolve this. Can’t say i’ve noticed any issues on the music side.

Looks like the latest version has this fixed. I’m switching back to the stable channel. :grin:

Upgraded to 1.18.1.1973 and seemingly all OK.
