Flawless first install

Wow, what a great experience that was. Well done guys.

Got my Pi yesterday, burned the image to the CF card, booted up, and there we were. All my media there, TV shows, stuff on the deck. Brilliant. Tested 1080p, no stutter (I am wired).

Scratched my head about 5.1 sound, before I realised I have to enable it in the settings. Then I tried airplay, not having very high expectations. But I was pleasantly surprised - it just worked.

I think the performance isn't too bad. I've got a western digital live hd, and that is not much quicker to be honest with you, and it's text-only menus.

Couple of niggles:

1. It doesn't recognise my usb mouse. Do I need to enable something?

2. When I use the plex ios app, things work fine. But when I use the webapp, and select my pi as a destination, nothing appears on the pi and the webapp times out with an error. Is this expected behaviour?

2 - I rebooted and it works now. Maybe a weird networking issue.

1 is still an issue for me though. Any ideas?

i'm not quite sure ... i believe it's not really intended to be used with a mouse. :D

Probably a good idea would be to check if mouse is supported in openelec as we use it.

No worries, keyboard is fine for the moment. Long term, I'm going to have to get something more user friendly, like hooking up a spare Xbox360 controller, or cheap IR remote.

I recall Tobias saying that there is no mouse support in Plex/HT, which would also mean no support in Rasplex.

I got this remote off of eBay for $15.  Works without any manual configuration.

In UK - maybe this will work: http://www.maplin.co.uk/windows-media-centre-remote-control-218643
