I have a problem as in a few (not all) show up in the folder list but the contents within dont show and I get a message “seems to be empty”…I have tried to update libararies multiple times and have done a sync 2/3 times but nothing changes.
What do you mean with ‘Sync’? I assume ‘Scan Library Files’.

Correct, scan them from the laptop and reflect them on plex. What I have is the folder but none of the files inside.
You don’t add files. You only add folders containing files.
And later, if you have added more movie files into your ‘Movies’ folder, you only tell Plex to ‘Scan Library Files’.
You don’t edit the library to add each movie individually.
I think I am unable to express myself correctly. I have have resolved the issue. It was because of the way TV Episodes & Movies are recognised by Plex, a misselection of playlist type can lead to skipped content. TV goes into TV, Movies and other videos go into the other… Simple and sorted.
