Force direct play per user

I would like to have the ability to force direct play/stream on a per user basis. I have some users with older hardware that can’t do direct play/stream, so I can’t just turn off the allow transcoding checkbox. I would also like to have the ability to change remote quality maximum or max streams per user rather than globally. Or at least have a per user override.

Hi,   I would love to have a feature that would allow me to disable transcoding on a per-user base. I share my media amongst some users but I have to ask them to only directplay (using the plex theatre app on PC/MAC) because otherwise after 4 concurrent sessions my CPU starts to give up ...   thanks for considering !   edd--    

If so I’d like to close this request to avoid duplicates that distract votes from each other…

Is there any for the other features I’m requesting? Setting remote quality per user or setting max streams per user? Maybe we can just change my request to that instead of the direct play per user.
