Hello there, though I checked the option Force multi -channel audio in the parameters, it disappears each time I boot the computer and Plex Server which is annoying…
Any idea how to fix it forever please? Otherwise no sound is played over Chromecast through my amplifier when casting AC3.

You really shouldn’t need that setting anymore. Check your CC for any firmware updates. There was previously a bug but it’s been fixed and Plex should detect it properly and provide multi-channel sound.
I believe this setting still has value because of older amplifiers.
In my setup I use a Chromecast Ultra with an audio extractor to feed the multichannel audio to my receiver (no HDMI inputs there) The Chromecast is not reporting this multichannel audio capabilitie. The Chromecast Ultra forums are full of these kind of posts so I doubt this has been fixed.
Only problem I now have is no sound on Chromecast in the bedroom because that one can not hande the multichannel audio.
What can I do to solve this? Run extra server or are there settings I’m missing?
I stand corrected… after testing today without the Chromecast setting everything seems to work just fine.
Don’t know why it didn’t want to do surround a couple days ago though… let’s call it a quirk of nature.
