Force Original Quality for all media content?

Is there such a thing? For Android devices it seems to revert to max quality (which I’ve set) even though the setting to play original quality for smaller files turned on (what’s the actual limit here?). There is no reason to re-encode when the device(s) can play said file natively. This saves both BW and the CPU working vigorously for no reason which can affect said encodes when on the go…

Are these remote or local content streams???

All local.

Hmmm.
If the files will play natively, they should not transcode…
I’m confused…

My Android device doesn’t change the settings that I’ve configured. Not quite sure what you mean by reverting to max quality. Can you post screenshots of your quality settings on your Android device?

Maybe some logs to see what the MDE thinks the reason for transcoding is??
