Forget old recordings

I’ve recently bought a HDHomeRun to set up Plex DVR as a replacement for my aging MythTV system. One key feature I’m missing is the ability to “forget” a recording. There are a couple of specific use cases:

  1. There was a problem with the old recording. For example, we ran out of storage, or there was a last-moment schedule change that wasn’t reflected in the guide. (Such schedule changes can happen when something like, say, a live presidential address runs longer than expected.)
  2. We want to remove a currently recorded program and let it record again at a later time. It may be a partial recording, or we just need to free up some space and know that the show will be rebroadcast at a later time.

At minimum we need this in the recording Agenda view, including previously deleted recordings. Ideally, there would also be an option to do this while viewing details on a specific recording.

I second this request. In addition to the use case above, there are at times guide errors that cause incorrect shows to be recorded.
