Sometimes when ripping compilations, if I forget to enter “Various Artists” as the album artist, the individual tracks are not grouped.
That is clear to me as far as it goes.
If I then correct the metadata with MP3tag and update the metadata in PLEX, it always remains as it is.
I then have to move the album from the monitored folder, delete it in PLEX and then insert it again.
Is there an easier way?

Unfortunately not, the rescan/“refresh metadata” process isn’t ‘intelligent’ enough to merge once-split albums back into one.
And why does the Rescan/Refresh not scan the folder again?
I have just a case were only a part of the files are shown and the Folder.jpg is not used.
Rescan does not help.
What to do?
