There’s a number of formatting issues with overlapping text and I can no longer find grid view.
Grid view is essential for my young kids who can’t read and need the episode thumbnail.
Was working fine for the last few months.
The play button i know should be fixed soon I think the overlapping on summary should as well but I know there is more to be done for formatting for tablet and larger screens.

That’s not grid view; why was it removed?
Grid view is critical for young children and suddenly it’s gone.
You’re saying it is critical because your kids need to see thumbs as if they are are gone but the thumbs are not gone so I am asking you why them being a grid specifically matters so I can pass that along to the folks who make UX decisions.
To be clear afaik it was changed so there is on less settings to keep track of. as more cogs usually means more things break. many folks either wanted thumbs or a text list. the new view gives both without additional settings.
Grid view had much larger thumbnails, go look at any streaming app designed to be kids friendly, they all have large thumbnails.
This list view also takes much much much much longer to load, it’s gone from being pretty much instant to 8 or 9 seconds, it has a tiny thumbnail and way too much information for kids.
I’m seriously disappointed such a useful view was removed, even I used it, I paid for Plex for both on my kids and it has been great for the last 3 months and suddenly it’s slow to load and difficult for them to navigate.
Plex is now effectively useless to my kids and I regret buying it and spending hours setting it up.
What this a server side change? What version of the app do I need to side load to restore grid view?
it was changed in v8.2.0 so anything before that.

Taking control away from the user is never a good idea in my view. Honestly I think you guys need all 3 views; list, grid and the new combined.
I have rolled both my kids tablets, and my phone, back to 8.1.x and, not only is grid view back, it loads instantly. We will remain on this version if grid view isn’t restored.
The loading time is something you should investigate; the new view literally takes 8 to 9 seconds to load all the episodes, while the old grid view is virtually instant.
Rolled back to version 8.1.x to restore grid view and solve slow loading.

Do other detail screens take longer than expected to load or only seasons?
I did not notice any excessive delay on other screens, but honestly I hardly use Plex, it’s really just setup for the kids to watch downloaded YouTube videos and a few selected shows and movies.
Yeah, I also prefer grid view to this horizontal list view. Definitely harder to browse albums by artist.
Also, I noticed that Plexamp was updated to be able to display more than 200 albums for a single artist, so it would be cool if the regular Plex app could get that update too.
