First, I know this doesn't fit in the developers forums but I couldn't find a place to talk about the actual forum, itself.
Second, I've been a member of this forum since 2008 so I was surprised when I logged in today and was created with a message saying this was the first time I had logged in and that I needed to create a screen name. Now I can't get back to my original profile.
Any ideas? Any suggestions?

Alternatively, the forum just deleted my username the other day, and started displaying my email address as my forum name... not cool. Also, I'm now a newbie, instead of an active contributor and user of many years. I've lost all my history, likes etc.

OK, here's what happened to you, my friend:
You created a forum account back in 2008 with name "rcrh" and email spamtohere@....
Your myPlex account uses another email spam4rich, so it may have been changed at some point.

David, I know and love you too, trying to figure out what went on. Your current forum account has existed since Sep 13th 2012. Is it possible your email changed along the way somewhere? That's the biggest cause of this disconnect (which we worked on fixing this last weekend). Feel free to email me details.
Over the weekend we found and deleted a bunch of duplicate and inactive forum accounts, but I double-checked each one to make sure it had no posts, so I'm 99.99999% sure I wouldn't have deleted your account.

I use 1PW, and have not changed my login or email on the forum in long time... I DID however change my username the other day from David NC to David S. Auto logging in a few days ago with 1PW logged me in with my email address (as usual) as my username. This has always resulted in my logging into my forum account tho apparently this time it created a new account with my email address as my forum name? Now, that new account is associated with my Plex Pass. Now, this account (the right one), shows I do not have Plex Pass. Does that make sense? -reading it back I'm confusing myself. :-)

Thanks for addressing this. I don't use MyPlex but I think one of the upgrades forced me to create that account. I can't remember when that was so I'm a bit surprised that the schism just occurred.

Thanks a bunch Elan, if you happen to still be following this thread - my forum account no longer has Plex Pass credentials. I emailed you about it, but I'm sure you receive a metric ton of emails daily so not surprised if you've missed it.
Just had the same thing happen to me.
My original username was "Manky" I logged in with that and was told it was my first time on the forums and to choose a screen name, it ended up creating me a new account and even though I log in as "Manky" I am actually logged into the new account with the name "MankyBRG"
PS: I should note that I actually had this issue back in May as you can see from the date it was created and sent an email and a Facebook message regarding it but they went unanswered, hopefully this can be resolved soon :)
So it's me, managed to get in with the right account and it looks like the issue is email related.
The address I had for MyPlex was *****@kchtech.com.au and I recently changed it to *****@gmail.com. It seems that totally freaked out the forum.
If I log in with the KCH email I end up logged in as "Manky"
If I log in wih the GMAIL email I end up logged in as "MankyBRG"
If I log in with the username "Manky" I end up logged in as "MankyBRG"
I will look as soon as I get back from vacation, end of this week!

Dammit, I thought we fixed everything. This forum account is linked to myPlex account dsnydernc, who doesn't have PlexPass. I assume I'm missing something?

You fixed it so that my forum account is able to be logged in via David S, or my email address. My Plex Pass is working correctly - clicking through shows it in my account, and works in PHT and my apps etc, it's just the forum access I'm missing.
The dsnydernc account was the second account that somehow got created and you deleted when you fixed this account. My email address is the same and matches in the forum and in myPlex.
OK, you should be all fixed now. If you can delete the (unused) dsnydernc account (or want me to), that would be helpful, as it confused me :)
Really sorry for the issues. You're user #36 on myPlex!
