Exactly… what I have been doing is stopping the video and then playing again from that position. At that point, sometimes the back/forward will work for a short period.

Having the same issue here. Infuriating.

The thing is that 2 years ago there was no sign of the issue we are currently having… it never used to be like this! Whatever was changed needs to be rectified! This is really bad!

Will try and get some logs to you soon. I have significantly improved the situation by halving the value of the “Transcoder default throttle buffer” (from default 60 to 30).

A temporary solution I have found to this is to change the quality setting after starting the file. (e.g. downgrade bit rate or resolution).
