Forward shared library to home users

Hi all,

i have my own server on my synology and i have a shared library from a friend which my admin account has access to. I created several home users for my own server. These users have access to my server, but the shared library from my friend is not shown. Where do i “forward” the shared library, so that the home users also have access to the shared library?

That is not possible.

The owner of the shared library shared with you, and not your home members

thanks for your fast reply. Could this be considered as a possible update in future releases? I dont want that all home users have access to each of my libraries, but at the same time i want them to have access to the shared library without creating a new plex account.

Doing so would mean that the library owner would loose control over who he/she shared with, so doubt that would ever happen.

You could create real accounts for your home users, and add those to your home instead.
That way, the library owner could share directly with them

If the library owner could select with which home users of the shared account he also wants to share the library, he would still have the control.
