Channels are tuned with WinTV-HVR-2215 however zero airings are found. I’m a Plex Pass user but a newbie. Am I missing something?
@larsmate What EPG are you using for these? Are you able to watch them via Live TV (which should work, even if there is no guide data for that channel)?
Aren’t they the EPG’s which were automatically selected in the screen shot I posted? Is it possible to watch live TV with nothing in the Program Guide? If it’s possible then I haven’t figured it out. Thanks for your help!
A bit more info. As per my first post there are five Fox Sports channels tuned. When I set up the DVR I select Foxtel as per this screen shot:
and then I go to the Program guide and only see three Watch Now channels showing anything but sport (which is incorrect). If I select Doctor Who I do indeed get Fox Sport and not Doctor Who. If I select The Chase I get a random JPG which is stored on my PC which is really weird. If I select Everyday Gourmet I also get a Fox Sport channel. So to summarise I get only two Fox Sport channels with the wrong EPG and missing at least three Fox Sport channels.
I’m choosing the correct locations during setup ie Australia, NSW and Foxtel during the EPG setup.
How are you tuning the foxtel channels through a free to air tuner card?
That is what I would like to know! I would love to get Foxtel on Plex! Especially Fox Footy!
My work has Fox channels broadcast internally over coax which my PCIe tuner card picks up. You see the possibilities?!
Let me do a bit of digging on this
Hi, LiveTV/DVR dev here. What postal code did you put in when you set up the DVR? I can take a look at what the guide host is returning for those stations.
EDIT: Ah, you’re in Australia. Now I see what I need already
I looked at what we’re getting back from Gracenote in the EPG data, at least for channels 501-505: Nothing. We get zero airings back from them. I’ll open a support request so we can figure out what went wrong there, and let you know once it’s sorted. Thanks for bringing it up.

Is there any good news on the EPG data yet?
I think it’s safe to say that Gracenote are only providing Over-the-Air broadcast EPG’s for Plex, and not for subscription channels. It appears as though the channels internal to your RF network are being rebroadcast from a Foxtel receiver.
I doubt if they will ever appear.
