Frequent buffering/crashing with new server

I hope I’m posting in the right spot. I could use some help troubleshooting frequent buffering/crashing of video playback from my synology nas to my roku. Greatly appreciated.

Here are some more logs. I upgraded my server recently. This wasn’t an issue with my 1019+, and now I am having consistent issues with my 423+.

“playback error - the server was not pwerful enough to convert this video for smooth playback.” I am baffled.

‘vaapi’ is the hardware acceleration. Notice it’s there for decoding but not encoding.

On Synology, if we have one, we should have the other.

Are you attempting to use HEVC encoding for the playback?
( The CPU in the DS423+ isn’t the best at HEVC encoding ; I’ve not yet confirmed it is 100% reliable )
