Lately I seem to be getting an update once a week. This time I just updated a few days ago and today there’s another one. Is this the norm?
If you use the public, stable releases, then updates are not very frequent. But when using the PlexPass releases updates can be frequent, as the PlexPass version are essentially pre-release beta test versions that PlexPass holders get early access to before a new stable release is put out to the non-PlexPass holders. But how frequently even PlexPass releases happen varies. Sometime we can go weeks without one, other times they come much more rapidly, usually when bugs that cropped up are being squashed.
No, this is not normal. There were a few significant bugs identified so these were fixed right away.
