I recently did a fresh wipe of my PMS version on Ubuntu 20.04 because it was caught in an error loop that I did not feel like troubleshooting.
I did not completely uninstall Plex aside from deleting my startup files in /etc/systemd/system/
And I decided to bite the bullet and install the Dockerized version of Plex from linuxserver.io
Since I did not need to uninstall Plex completely, I did not bother to backup my preferences.xml, so I know that is forever gone.
But, I did back up my old DB’s, and imported them using this tutorial to restore the backup.
I was able to only see the ‘Recently Added’ in the Movies section was successfully restored. My watch history and everything else was not restored whatsoever.
I ran the checks to see if my databases were corrupted, and nothing came back out of the ordinary.
I even went through and checked the database entries by hand, and everything was there.
What am I missing?
