I shared a library with a friend, but now all of the videos they watch show up in my Continue Watching area.
Are you using the trakt.tv plugin?
Is your friend in the same local network as your server? If so, is he playing via DLNA?
Yeah, I am using the trakt.tv plugin. He is streaming the movies remotely.
Why would the trakt.tv plugin affect movies showing up in my continue watching area? The same doesn’t happen for the managed users I have set up.

That question can only the software developer of the trakt.tv plugin answer.
You need to set up a filter in the preferences of the trakt.tv plugin, so it takes only your own playback into account.
