Hi everyone.
I have a friend’s library that we share eachother with, we each have a ton of old videos we made in highschool, they are glorious.
I find that using the default settings of “remote quality 7” in my Samsung TV App causes buffering issues. Sometimes it will play entirely with no issues, while other times it will force 10-15s of buffering every 30s or so non stop.
I can lower this setting to 5 and typically get by with no issues, but the quality truly does suffer.
Is there not a method within the player-apps for remote quality setings that says “use best quality available at all times but limit buffering to NONE, and use this minimum quality setting no matter what” ?
Thanks for the help!
Additionally, I know the samsung app isn’t great (https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/145384/samsung-smart-tv-plex-app-buffering/p27) - but it works flawlessly with direct-play on my own internal network, AND I also see the same buffering issues sometimes with web-app version on the remote server.
My network is 100Mbps/20Mbps, and the remote is 100Mbps/15Mbps, for reference.
