BRAVIA 4K UR3 Plex for android TV not honoring Remote Quality setting

Remote has limited bandwidth ~ 20Mbs The plex app installed with remote quality set to maximum and trying to play high bandwidth files (40Mbs) would cause buffering. No matter what I set the Remote quality to on Plex client, it appears to direct play as shown in Playing now and tautulli. I need it to force transcoding to keep bandwidth down.

Tested with a GCCWGTV and settings are honored.

If needed I can attempt to get the TV model number and client version.

Going to need the android logs from your TV after reproducing the playback. Set the quality to 10 Mbps and le tit play for 1 minute including the buffering.

I don’t know. I went over to get the logs. For three days it wasn’t working and now today, everything looks normal. I’m declaring victory although I don’t know for what!. Thanks for the response.
