I’m guessing by looking at some of the other posts in here that much of this has to do with the recent security breach. My situation is that I can see my server and all of my media, but those with access to my server (my kids & parents) cannot. When I look at anyone’s Libraries in their settings, the all show that they have access to the Media Libraries on my server, but when I’m logged into Plex as them, my server is not an option that is available. When I was first helping my parents troubleshoot at their house, I saw my server name at the top of the account screen with a yellow triangle/black exclamation mark beside. Not sure what the fix is for this - I’m hoping that someone has an idea they’re aware of. I read a few posts about reclaiming server, etc, but don’t think that is it since things are fine for me.
Just found a related post that indicates it was a security issue added to 1.42.0 which I had installed. I have updated to 1.42.1 - hoping that returns their access 
For others running across this thread…
If running 1.41.7 to 1.42.0, remote access is restricted to the server owner. Update to 1.42.1 or later.
