So I have PMS running at my house and I have Plex Pass, my friend has an xbox but doesn't have Plex Pass or a Live account. Can he still use it?
For now, it is Plex Pass only. The account you sign into the app with on the Xbox must have a Plex Pass. It will be made available later as an app purchase for non Plex Pass members.
Well, technically speaking, yes he could. You would either have to share your Plex server with him, or he would have to sign in using your Plex Pass account (he can either use your username/password, or both of you could use the PIN system).
As for whether you're allowed to do that, I'm not sure. I didn't see anything on the Plex Legal page that expressly prohibits this behavior.
He does have access to my server, I share it out to him now. He also has his own login, just not a plex pass account, only I have a plex pass account.
