FullHD liveTV-stream crashes player or no video

Attempting to watch a FullHD liveTV-stream either crashes the Android-player or the video simply won’t show up at all, or there is a single, static frame. Audio keeps playing like it’s supposed to. On the other hand, playing SD-resolution channels (no transcoding, I mean the channel itself is transmitted in SD) works fine.

I am unsure if this is a bug in the Android Plex-player itself, or in the phone’s own software. The phone in question is OnePlus 8 Pro with no firmware-mods, not rooted, nothing like that.
