Morning all,
I logged on to check my DVR this morning as it said a recording failed last night (it didnt) whilst i was watching a network file.
However i did notice that i have one failure on my DVR calendar view… and its for tomorrow…
Any ideas why?
Would seem that my tuner lost the channel, some how!
Time for a better aerial!
Or an amplifier plus better antenna. If the stations you are trying to pull in are in roughly a single vector, the long yagi style works best to pull them in (assuming UHF), not the flat style of antenna… If you have the room, this style is pretty awesome. That antenna SAYS VHF, but that is primarily a UHF antenna.
Also, the channelmaster amplifier https://www.channelmaster.com/Amplify_TV_Antenna_Preamplifier_p/cm-7777hd.htm worked well for me. It was simple, and has a built in filter to block interference from both FM and LTE cellular signals. Use that if you have a long run from your antenna to your tuner. It needs to be mounted as close to the antenna as possible.
