FYI: 4K HDR running smooth on My Cloud Gen 2

After the latest round of PMS updates, using my WD My Cloud (Gen 2), I can stream 4K HDR files (60GB or so) 100% fine to my Vizio Smartcast or Xbox One (no HDR for the Xbox).

Figured this would be useful information for those figuring out which NAS to buy. You may not need an expensive one if you are okay with limited features otherwise!

Content likely direct playing on those devices?
Report back when you come across something that has to be transcoded. :smile:

That’s my point! As transcoding becomes less necessary, older devices become more useful :slight_smile:
