The genre under each artist name is missing in the Library → Artists view if all the files for that artist are FLAC. I use embedded tags for the library if that matters. See “Curve”, “The Damned” below as example.
If viewing Library → Genres the artists with only FLAC files show correctly in the genre view so the individual albums have genre tagged OK.
The “genre” bug was mentioned over a year ago in this thread. and again just recently in another thread
Neither of those seemed to get any sort of response or hint of a fix in the works, but I hope maybe this thread gets someone’s attention.
i fixed it today, will be in an upcoming server release.
