When setting up a new Music Library, in the Advanced tab/Genre pop up, I selected ‘Embedded Tags’. I then checked back to one of the other tabs (General or Add Folders) and back to advanced. Genre now showed ‘None’. I set it again to ‘Embedded Tags’ and again switched to another tab and back. Same problem.
In the end, I set Genre to ‘Embedded tags’ as I wanted and clicked the button to add the library. As soon as that began importing, I checked the settings for that Library and Genre had again reverted to ‘None’. I stopped the scan and set Genre as requred and let the scan restart. The Library import continued, but when it had finished, I found that at least one Artist had no Genre tags. This was the alphabetically first Artist in the list of folders in the specified directory so perhaps import had started while Genre had reverted to ‘None’. The next Artist in the list seems to have been correct, so maybe I caught it in time to only affect that first Artist. Anyway…
This is the first time (that I’ve noticed) I have come across this problem. Why is the Genre not being set by the pop-up? Is this a UI bug?
