"Get Plex Media Server", server is installed and should be running!

Hello I’m losing my mind about this. I had both the plex media server and the plex player installed and functioning fine on my Windows 10 desktop, when it stopped working a few weeks ago. I can’t figure out why. Every time I log into the player either via the app on my computer or through the web browser, it always prompts me to “Get Plex Media Server” even though it’s installed and is a current version. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the server/player and restarted my computer many times. PLEASE HELP!
