For some reason the playback of a FLAC file on PS3 is showing up on the server as transcoded, both audio and video (with no video being present (!).
Playing the same file on my mac (on app), however is successfully shown as: “Direct Play” on server.
I´ve tried playing with the settings, using “original quality” under “streaming” for example and loggin out and in on both Mac (server) and PS3 app.
Any ideas on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated 
Unfortunately that’s not something up to us or you, we are limited to the formats that are supported by the PS3/PS4 application platform.

I suppose that I´ll have to convert the file to a suitable format or just trust that Plex will transcode to the highest quality available.
I also tried the most attractive feature, syncing to the cloud, however the files are converted on my Google Drive as well, but to mp3 instead. The track and album details also changed to an unrecognisable jumble of letter so that I had to install a plugin to play the files in order to figure out which was which.
Is there a way of playing FLAC through the cloud option?
EDIT: I noticed that the most effective way was purchasing the Chrome Cast 1or 2 which supports WMA and FLAC providing it is updated.
I am glad Plex finally presented the opportunity to stream music (including FLAC) from Google Drive.
