Can anyone possibly help me out?? I have been running Plex from a Seedbox/remote server not located inside my home network. I have streamed from this server for a couple years and the system has worked great, as long as I am not streaming 4k which the connection between my home network and seedbox can’t keep up with. I have recently updated my theater to a 4k setup and have decided to do most of my streaming using a Nvidia Shield TV.
I have my NAS storing my 4k content hooked up to my router and do not have any issues streaming from both my seedbox remotely (running PMS) and my NAS within my home network (with PMS running on my Shield TV). I recently got a HD HomeRun Connect Duo and have it working using the live channels and HD HomeRun app to watch OTA broadcast TV in my area. The problem I have is that I cannot seem to get the live TV setup on my Shield TV within Plex. The setting isn’t even available within my settings menu, although it is available within my remote seedbox server settings which will not recognize the HD HomeRun due to it being in a remote location and not within my actual home network.
Is there something that I seem to be overlooking? or is there an issue with more than one server running at once? I am a Plex Pass subscriber so I know that isn’t the issue. Any help that you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
