I have tried a DSD and 24bit flacs on my external USB DAC but I always get the 44.1kHz! when I use DSD it should change to colour Cyan or Red as per iFi Zen Dac v2, I normaly use Audirvana and with the same files everything works as it should but not in plexamp!!!
Plexamp has no support for DSD whatsoever. Therefore everything in DSD is transcoded to PCM.
The bit depth has nothing to do with the sample rate, btw.
to clarify, it supports DSD in that plexamp itself decodes to PCM (which offers numerous advantages compared to passing it through).
make sure you have sample rate matching enabled.
