Getting prompted to sign up for a Remote Watch Pass even though I'm on the same LAN

I’ve got the player installed on an iPad and it’s been working fine for years. I don’t have a big issue with paying for a Remote Watch Pass, but I’m getting prompted to sign up even though my iPad is on the same subnet as the server. The same happens on my android phone app. My Nvidia Shield works just fine. Am I alone?
