iOS app connects to local library, but gets prompted to pay for remote pass?

Server Version#: 1.41.7.9823
Player Version#: 2025.17.0 (1082) / 18.5
This is a real head scratcher. I can access my libraries and stream from my home server at home on many devices, including my phone. (iPhone 15). This is using the app, or web version.
My wife’s phone (iPhone 16) can connect and stream via web browser, but when using the app it gets prompts for remote watch pass when it’s connect to the same network as the home server. The permissions are correct, her phone settings are allowing locations to be seen, and I even turned off mobile data and only accessed wifi to see if that was doing something, but it still prompts to pay for remote pass.
This is extremely frustrating because all my other devices on the network stream with no issues.

There’s usually two main culprits for such issues:

  1. The server and client are located in different subnets inside your home network (e.g. if you’ve accidentally or on purpose segmented your network or your server is running in a container with its own network)
  2. Some blockers / security tools preventing the communication (e.g. blocking some of the traffic used to authenticate your account)
