Getting really pissed about the TIDAL spam

We get it, you added TIDAL as your partner and are probably earning money from them.

But I’m getting incredibly tired of you guys shoving it to us pretty much everywhere you can, online posts, newsletters, etc.

Plex is meant to be a piece of software to organize our own media files first and foremost. Great if you add new features, less great if you decide to partner with TIDAL instead of spotify who most people use, but whatever. But stop pushing it into our faces so much, most of us really don’t care at all.

Instead of adding your own features, you should probably spend more time on what’s actually being requested on the forums. There’s a lot you can learn from how Emby communicates with their community, and actually listens to them.

Plex is still my favourite piece of software, but these are some really frustrating bits.

Tip: bookmark app.plex.tv and use this to “open Plex”.

Do also make sure that your web browser is not throwing away cookies and other data from the plex.tv website when you close it. That way you rarely need to login to plex.tv again.
(at least on computers which you only use yourself, that is.)

I assume you replied to the wrong topic? Because I have no idea how this even remotely would relate to this, aside for the fact that both are about plex.

No, I replied to you.
I am assuming you are talking about the full page overlay which you get when signing in to plex.tv the first time with a fresh web browser.

If you are talking about something else, please specify it.

I quote: “But I’m getting incredibly tired of you guys shoving it to us pretty much everywhere you can, online posts, newsletters, etc.”

I think I’ve been pretty clear about where it shows up, honestly it’s quite hard to miss as it’s literally everywhere.

You can unsubscribe.

Plex is a business. They are going to advertise. Just ignore it lol. So much disdain. Other companies do much worse.

I rarely see anything about Tidal except in the overlay page on the Plex website as Otto mentioned.
