F-ing Tidal ad pop up!

So I want to sign in to my Plex server, so I go to Plex.tv, sign in as usual. Then what happens? An F-ing Tidal ad pops up that I have to clear before I can launch my Plex web page!

What the hell. This Tidal crap is getting out of control. Now I have to clear ads before I can launch my Plex web page?

You’ve got bugs you can’t fix, but you’ve got time to put pop up ads in my way. Thanks. Alot.

Yep. I ask about that very thing. I was told plex has the right to advertise their services and products.
Though, I do wonder if people WITH tidal subscriptions also get the pop-up… I would LMAO if they do.

But @elan says that’s never going to happen!

Elan says there will never be ads…

Well… One could look at it that way and one could look at it as “no 3rd party ads”

I was referring to e.g. not playing video ads before playing your content. As I commented over in that other thread, I think that popup is excessively enthusiastic and afaik we’re taking steps to dial it back.

Why are you going through the Plex business website? While I am not a fan of the ad either, I would think they have the right to advertise on their own website.

Just bookmark app.plex.tv and it will take you right to your server page, bypassing the ad completely and saving you a few extra clicks.

Well, that does assume you don’t use a public use computer or not using private/incognito browsing.

no it doesn’t you can type app.plex.tv from anywhere.

I see your point about bypassing the ad.
