Getting "The server was not powerful enough to convert this file for smooth playback" on new server

Server Version#: 1.43.0.10492-121068a07-x86_64
Player Version#: 9.5.13.11225-fb3b333bb-Plex

I recently replaced an old Dell Optiplex 3010 (that had an i5 3470) with an HP Elitedesk 800 (that has an i5 8500T) as my PLEX server. The new Elitedesk 800 has Intel UHD 630 graphics which I thought would be powerful enough to stream 4k video here in my home to my Roku clients. But the video cuts in and out to loading percentages and then finally gave me the message:

”The server was not powerful enough to convert this file for smooth playback.”

The file was ripped with MakeMKV from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 4k blu-ray disc. I have things set to do direct playback, so I didn’t think it would be doing any converting.

In the Roku Plex client I have:
Local Quality - Original
Direct Play - Auto
Allow Direct Stream - Checked

Anyone have any tips for 4k playback from MakeMKV rips like this?

It looks like it is transcoding the file. I’m guessing this has to do with the PLEX client on the Roku not supporting the codecs needed to directly play it back?

Looks like the Transcoder settings I had:

Disable video stream transcoding - Unchecked

I checked this box, restarted everything (server and client) and now it is doing direct playback.

So not sure why the issue before. Since it was trying to transcode perhaps it was trying to transcode it to original quality? Not sure but it works now and I can enjoy 4k videos without an issue.
