Tried this crap because for 2 years KODI- ServerWMC would occasionaly screw up a recording.
Took 8 hours today to set up, and after finding out I needed to make registry settings changes to be able to use File Manager to see the WD HD on my NVIDIA Shield/Plex server, got it to work for 2 recordings then the @$$^&**% thing failed not it says the Server is offline and I cannot restore it.
Will not renew. This is not ready for prime time and seems just a bunch of unprofessional pimply faced geeks who program just enough to make stuff barely work.
You mad bruh? Live recordings work just fine I have been using it since launch and it has worked on my pc and now on my synology without any issues. It took about 5 minutes to setup and set the recordings. Have you bothered to read any of the documentation/requirements?
I would like to state that I think your comment/post is undeserved and un professional. I’ve been using Plex for several years now, I have 34 TB of storage. I have music, Movies Channels, videos and 2 servers. I know that Plex is not perfect, but have always been able to solve any issues/problems with the help of google, the Plex forums, tech articles and the community. The Plex team has been very responsive, as has the community in the forums. iI thnk it would be more constructive for you if you simply posted what you are trying to accomplish. You should be very thorough when you are describing your current set-up and be sure to include all equipment specs and model numbers including the revision number. Include what connections you have used, the type of cable and so forth. This way the pimpled faced guys , as you called them, can help you to resolve your issues and accomplish what you want to. I am not part of Plex or it’s organization, except to be a customer and proud owner of my 2 servers, that contain over 3000 movies along with music and other videos. I personally think they have done a great job with Plex. Is it perfect, know of course not, it’s a work in progress. Good luck resolving your problems, give them a chance, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
Check out the tutorials/guides and then ask a question. I’m sure someone will be able to help. From your post, we can only assume what you are trying to say. You will get better results and you will also learn how to use Plex on the nVidia shield tv.
