Global search not finding any music results

If I search on the ios plex app, the ios plex-amp app, or via chrome the plex web interface. Music results never show up. Even if the filter is set to my music library. This used to work and now it doesn’t. I can still see all my music and play it if I browse and filter it with the music table filter, but I can’t search via the primary search.

details: Plex pass account, ran in truecharts on truenas scale but I don’t see why that would matter, literally every other feature works and I can search for my movies and TV shows.
I upgraded the the latest version of plex. Plex-web 4.87.2 (though its the same on the mobile apps no updates available) Plex server 1.30.1.6562 (it was happening before and after upgrading to this version)

Any ideas why this would happen?

I downloaded the logs but there’s 119 of them in the zip no idea which one would be useful here.

Chances are that you have opted out of search inadvertently.

It was set to exclude from home screen and global search, changing it did solve the issue I can only guess I set it by mistake at some point. I had no idea this was an option but it makes sense.
